How to choose
How to choose a study tool
Choose by what you need to do next, not by the file you have. Every tool accepts the same uploads, so the question is what kind of practice helps most this week.
| If you want to | Use | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Find out what you do not know yet | Quiz generator | Multiple choice, true/false and short answer questions, each with an explanation, so a wrong answer still teaches you something. |
| Memorise terms, drugs, dates or formulas | Flashcard maker | Spaced repetition brings each card back just before you would forget it, and less often once you know it. |
| Get the shape of a chapter fast | Study guide maker | An outline of the chapter with its key terms. Choose quick review, comprehensive or exam prep. |
| Rehearse for an exam | Practice test maker | A full set answered in one sitting and scored at the end, then a review of what you missed. |
| Keep studying in Quizlet or Anki | PDF to Quizlet or PDF to Anki | Make the flashcards here, export a CSV and import it. There is no direct button, and the guides show each setting. |
The source matters too. Text-heavy PDFs, textbook chapters and full lecture notes give the richest sets. Slides with a few words each give thin ones, because there is little in them to ask about. Recordings and YouTube videos work from the transcript, so a video without captions may not work, and photos of handwriting need to be legible.

Moving your cards to Quizlet or Anki
QuerySpark has no direct Quizlet or Anki export, but both import the CSV a deck exports. These guides walk through every setting.

Questions about AI study tools
It depends on the job. For practice questions and flashcards written from your own PDFs, slides and notes, a generator such as QuerySpark is the quickest route, and it is free to start. ChatGPT is good for asking follow-up questions about a topic, Anki is a free and very flexible flashcard reviewer, and Quizlet is handy when your class already shares sets there.
Yes. New accounts get a 3-day Pro trial with no credit card. After the trial the free plan includes 20 flashcards, 20 questions and 10 PDF pages a month, with files up to 5 MB, and you keep everything you made.
Partly. The question generator on the AI question generator page takes pasted text up to 6,000 characters and returns multiple choice questions with explanations, 3 times a day, with no account. Uploading files and making flashcards or study guides needs a free account.
Start with the quiz generator to find your gaps, then make flashcards for the terms you missed. Upload one chapter at a time: a PDF of up to 120 pages works per upload, but a focused chapter gives more focused questions.
PDFs (scanned pages are read with OCR), Word and PowerPoint files, photos of notes including neat handwriting, audio and video recordings up to 25 MB, YouTube links and web articles, plus pasted text. YouTube videos need captions or a transcript to work.
Every answer comes with an explanation, and most questions also show the passage from your material they were written from, so you can check them. AI can still get details wrong, so delete any question that does not match your notes.
Flashcard decks export as CSV, which Quizlet and Anki can import. Questions export to PDF, Word, plain text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, QTI for Canvas, Blackboard and D2L, and Moodle XML. There is no direct Quizlet or Anki button.
Yes. Uploads are private by default, are never used to train AI models, and can be deleted at any time. A study set only appears in Explore if you choose to publish it.
