    Example

Quiz from MKT 201, Week 4

A sample of what you get from a PowerPoint deck on marketing. Yours is written from your own file.

    1. Question 1 · Multiple choice

A brand chooses to serve only budget-conscious students within the wider smartphone market. Which step of STP is this?

      • Segmentation
      • Targeting
      • Positioning
      • Differentiation

Segmentation divides the market; targeting is the choice of which segment to serve.

    2. Question 2 · Multiple choice

Which base of segmentation groups customers by lifestyle and values?

      • Demographic
      • Geographic
      • Psychographic
      • Behavioral

Psychographic segmentation uses attitudes, values and lifestyle rather than age or location.

    How we read PowerPoint slides

We open the .pptx and read every slide's text boxes and the speaker notes underneath them. Speaker notes are where lecturers hide the explanations, so questions get the reasoning, not just the bullet points.

    Get the best results

    • Use the lecturer's original deck, not a printout.
    • Keep speaker notes in the file.
    • Combine a lecture's slides with its reading for the strongest set.

    What your quizzes include

    • Multiple choice, true or false and short-answer questions written from your material
    • An explanation for every answer, plus the passage it came from
    • Distractors that are plausible, not obviously wrong
    • Correct answers spread across A to D, so you cannot game the pattern

    How you study them

Answer one question at a time with instant feedback. Wrong answers come back later in the session, and the ones you keep missing move into your review queue.

Best for: checking you understood a chapter, quick revision before class, finding weak spots early.

Things that trip people up with PowerPoint slides

    • Slides that are mostly images carry little text. Export those as PDF so OCR can read them.
    • Old .ppt files (pre-2007) are not supported. Re-save as .pptx in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.
    • Bullet fragments make vague questions. Decks with speaker notes produce much better ones.
