Is Knowt better than Quizlet?
For many students on a budget, yes. Knowt advertises unlimited free Learn mode, free practice tests, a matching game and a spaced repetition mode, and it can pull your Quizlet sets across with its Chrome extension. Quizlet caps some study modes and AI features on its free plan, so if those limits are why you are looking, Knowt is the most direct swap.
Quizlet is still the better choice if you rely on its larger library of community sets or prefer its long-established apps. Is Knowt free?
Yes. Knowt's Basic plan is free and includes unlimited file creation, live collaboration, storage and its library of shared resources. The paid Ultra plan costs $24.99 a month or $149.99 a year billed upfront, according to Knowt's plans page on August 3, 2026. Ultra adds an ad-free experience, AI summarizers for PDFs, videos, images and PowerPoints, lecture recording summaries, AI podcasts, the voice tutor on all files and full AP, SAT and ACT prep.

Is Knowt good for AP, SAT and ACT prep?
It is one of Knowt's strengths. Knowt has AP exam pages with practice test and free-response rooms and a score calculator, and its plans page lists full AP, SAT and ACT prep as part of Ultra. If you want ready-made practice for those exams, that is purpose-built content QuerySpark does not have.

Knowt vs Anki: which is better for memorization?
Anki gives you more control; Knowt is easier. Anki is free and open source on desktop, AnkiWeb and Android, with a paid iOS app, and lets you tune how reviews are scheduled.
